MANY WONDERFUL YEARS LATER!

Still going strong, this 501 (C) (3) charitable non-profit organization is all about bringing joy to the neediest children at Christmas. Amazingly, ALL the money that is raised by the organization is used ONLY to purchase gifts for the children.

Every other aspect of this organization is provided by donations for everything including time, postage, raffle prizes, the website and coordinate fund raisers.

Each year invaluable volunteers spend hours working with local schools, victim’s advocacy groups and churches to evaluate each proposed child’s situation and compile the recipient list.

The parents and guardians of the children come to Wal-mart on the designated Joy of Giving shopping day and are presented with a preset amount of money to personally choose appropriate gifts for their child, thus the name, THE JOY OF GIVING.

This proves to be a busy but rewarding day for the flurry of volunteers who work with each shopper and store employees to be sure the money is used appropriately and to account for each child on the list.

In light of our current economy, this may be the most challenging season yet. We are sure our list of children will be longer than ever.

We are optimistic that those who can give will find it in their hearts to help us continue to reach these children.

All proceeds benefit the Joy of Giving, Inc which will generously supply Christmas presents for over 1200 underprivileged local children this year. Every penny collected goes toward giving these beautiful children a wonderful holiday. We need your support.
